Sunday Schedule

Sunday School

Sunday Mornings, 9:30-10:15am

God’s Growers:
Children ages 3 thru 5(PreK) will begin to develop faith foundations, by learning about the Bible and our faith traditions, and learning how to relate to God and the church through the use of age appropriate activities using the One Room Sunday School curriculum.

God’s Builders: Children in Kindergarten thru 2nd grade will expand upon their faith foundations and begin to learn how to relate faith to daily living through Bible stories and age appropriate activities in the One Room Sunday School curriculum.

God's Explorers: Children in 3rd thru 5th grade will use the Lectionary-based Episcopal Children’s Curriculum to expand their knowledge of the Episcopal church as they begin the transition from the children’s program to the youth program.

Nurturing Center

Sunday Mornings, 7:45am-12:00pm

St. Benedict's provides childcare for children, ages 6 weeks - 3 years (who are not yet potty trained), in the Nurturing Center from 7:45am to the close of service. During the Formation hours, age-appropriate activities are provided to children that expose them to themes that the Growers are covering more in depth.
The Nurturing Center is staffed by professional caregivers through A Friend of the Family.  We are fortunate to have three dedicated caregivers with us each week, we invite you to stop by and say "Hello!" to Miss Bessie, Miss Janalyn, and Miss Angie.

Children’s Chapel

Sunday Mornings, 10:30-11:00am

Named for St. Benedict's beloved twin sister, St. Scholastica, our children's chapel is a warm and welcoming environment for children 3 years old thru 2nd grade to experience the Liturgy of the Word in a child friendly way.  We meet at 10:30am.
Children have the opportunity to serve in chapel as acolytes, lectors, intercessors, and ushers.  Children rejoin their parents in the main worship for Holy Communion. Parents are always invited to join us for this unique service.

It is St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church Safety Policy that all children be accompanied by parent/guardians to all class, chapel or children’s ministries program activities upon arrival and be released only to these responsible parties at the conclusion of these events.
