The Rev. Stuart Higginbotham
The Rev. Stuart Higginbotham recently received his Diploma in Anglican Studies from University of the South in Tennessee, having earlier earned his Masters of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga. In addition to his formal education, he has gained a wealth of pastoral experience during the last several years in the Atlanta area, including serving as the Spiritual Care Coordinator at Heartland Hospice House; ministering to the ill at Portsbridge Hospice and Grady Memorial Hospital; and leading the development of Adult Christian Formation and worship programs at Holy Trinity Parish. Stuart, his wife Lisa, and their one-year-old daughter Evelyn have purchased a home near both St. Benedict’s offices and its temporary worship site.

Betsy Shuford, Parish Administrator
Betsy was introduced to the Episcopal faith while attending St. Margaret's School in Tappahannock, Va. After Graduating from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree in Visual Communications, Betsy worked in the advertising industry for a few years before opening a graphic design studio in Vinings for ten years. She then went from a stay-at-home mom to managing a retail interior design store to creating a multiple line wholesale agency serving B2B clients. Betsy has held various volunteer positions at the Cathedral of St. Philip, including Children's Chapel, Cathedral Antiques Show and the Green Apron Guild. Most recently she has chaired the Altar Guild for St. Benedict's. Betsy, her husband Randy, son Todd and dog Comet live in Smyrna.

Courtney Vaughn, Program Director
Courtney has program responsibilities for the emerging parish. Previously with the Cathedral of Saint Philip, as Program Coordinator for Membership & Christian Education, she is very experienced in congregational development & Christian formation. Courtney is a native of Smyrna. As a child her family were members of Saint Judes Episcopal Church and her grandfather was Mayor of Smyrna. Courtney's brother is a priest in the Episcopal Church and her years of being an Episcopalian and a native in the Smyrna area is a God send!

Leslie D. Boyette, Jr., Organist/Choirmaster
Leslie is an experienced organist and choirmaster with a Master's degree in Sacred Music from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Music degree from Furman University. He recently completed a 12-year tenure as Organist/Choirmaster at St. Andrew's In-The-Pines Episcopal Church in Peachtree City, Ga. Prior to that, he held similar positions at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in South Carolina as well as at Glen Haven United Methodist Church and Doraville A.R.P. Church in the Atlanta area. Leslie is a member of the Association of Anglican Musicians and the American Guild of Organists.

Heather Werner, Registrar

Heather is originally from Maryland and has a Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Maryland at College Park. She worked as a Reference Librarian at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC for four years before moving to Atlanta in December 2002. Heather is married to Travis Werner and has most recently been a stay-at-home Mom to her two daughters. As registrar she will handle all Church membership duties.

Carol Kirshner, Web Administrator
Carol is a Cobb County native, growing up in Powder Springs. With a Masters Degree in Health Policy and Administration from Mercer University, she previously was a VP of company that produced continuing education activities for nurses and physicians. She was primarily involved in grant acquision and marketing. She and her husband, Michael, are new parents to a daughter, Natalie. As web administrator at St. Benedict's, she will be responsible for the development and management of the St. Benedict's website.
