How Do I Become a

Member of St. Benedict's

The Short Answer:   worship with us, participate in activities and ministries and make an offering if you feel led to do so.

Please fill out a Family Information Form and returning it to us either by fax at 678-279-4309 or by putting in the offering plate.

The Long Answer:

St. Benedicts is currently classified as a "Mission" church under the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta.  Logistically, this means that we do not have an official membership book.

We expect to officially become a parish sometime in November or December of 2008.  At that time, we will begin to officially transfer membership letters for those who are interested.

However it has been said "Episcopals bring their letter (of transfer) with them."  As such, Heather Werner, our registrar, is prepared to receive letters and hold them in trust until can officially to log them in the register.

We are also preparing an intent to join form that you can print out and fill in so that we have the information needed to request your letter when the time comes.

For those coming from other denominations:

If you are coming to St. Benedict's from another denomination, formation classes will be held this fall with confirmation at St. Philip's Cathedral on December 14.  Click here for more information.
