Programs & Organizations
Saint Benedict's offers the following programs:
- Outreach to the greater Atlanta community for those in need (various programs to be determined by new parish)
- Mission to the U.S. and the World (Based on need)
- EYC (Episcopal Youth Community)- trips, !fun! events, faith development, Outreach and Mission opportunities for middle and high school teenagers.
- Children's Ministries - activities and faith development for children in elementary school and younger.
- Pastoral Care (Pastoral Visitor's, Counseling Center. Hospital and home visits)
- Choir - St. B's "Bohemian" Choir
- Women's Group - monthly gatherings offering fellowship, spiritual reflection, & outreach opportunities.
- Daughters of The King
- Lay Ministry Lector's-those who read scripture at worship services, Intercessors- those who lead prayer at worship services, Vergers, Ushers, Acolytes and Pastoral Visitors who are commissioned to take communion from services to the infirmed)
- Men's Group - weekly Bible study
- Education for children, youth and adults ( traditional Sunday school and other offerings)
- Extended Family: a community-based organization that offers support to families of prisoners
- Career Counseling programs
- Family Crisis programs ( addiction, marriage, financial need, etc.)
- Other programs determined by new parish
