Worship Space Ministry
Every Sunday rain or shine, cold or hot, sick or healthy we meet @7:30 am to create a holy space in a not so holy environment.
Our ministry is dedicated to facilitating the mission of building St. Benedict's by setting up the needed worship spaces for the congregation. At present, the congregation meets in temporary space and there is much to be done before worship can begin.
Some of our tasks include:
- setting up chair for the congregation
- putting hymnals in the chair racks
- setting up the choir space
- setting up the sound system
- setting up the stage and back drop
- placing the worship furniture
- take down of the worship space after services have concluded
We have streamlined much of the process. All in all--- about 3 extra hours of church time is involved each Sunday. One team is required every week, and I send out advance notice reminders to the entire worship space ministry all. Everyone is welcome to join us regardless if it’s your week or not. Some folks come every week.
Current Needs
This ministry came together as a joint effort of about 24 men. However, we continue to need new people willing to help set up and take down. Specifically we need 2-5 more men and women to help out on Sunday mornings and after service.
