St. B's Children's Ministries

BuildersLet us introduce you to "God's Growers," the official name for our children’s ministry for ages 4 and under and “God’s Builders”, the official name for our children’s ministry for 5 –9 year olds.  As these groups are our youngest, they are an important foundation of growing & building St. Benedict's.

If you are interested in volunteering with St. B’s Children’s Ministries please contact Courtney at (678) 279-4300 or Courtney@MySaintB.org.

“The Greenhouse”

St. B’s littlest members God’s Growers (children ages six weeks through PreK) will gather each Sunday in “The Greenhouse”.  We are very excited to have a dedicated room at Campbell Middle School for our nurturing center, a room we have decorated & furnished ourselves.

What is a nurturing center? It’s like a nursery only better! Sure we have cribs, a changing table, toys, books, soft play furniture, and child sized tables & chairs, but it’s not just the furnishings that make this room special for God’s Growers. Our nurturing center is staffed by certified professional caregivers through "A Friend of the Family". The Grower’s regular Sunday school is on hiatus until August 17th, but “The Greenhouse” will remain open for childcare through the summer. We want these children to know church and God as safe, loving, & nurturing.

Sunday Morning Summer Schedule (May 25 – August 10, 2008)

9:00 Nurturing Center opens

9:00 – 11:00 Free play, Arts and Crafts & Snack Time

11:00 Children will join their parents for the Eucharist (children not joining their parents will remain in “The Greenhouse”)

God’s Builders – “The Tree House”

The Builders (Kindergartners – 10 years old) regular Sunday school is on hiatus until August 17th, we will have a special summer Sunday program beginning June 8th. Children’s Chapel will meet as usual in “The Treehouse” at 10:30am.

St Benedict's Summer of Superheros

What can Batman, the Hulk, Iron Man, Spiderman, Superman & the X-Men teach us about the Bible?

What makes someone a Superhero?

Is there a superhero in all of us?

We’ll have a variety of activities that will explore these questions at St. B’s intergenerational Sunday summer program for rising 1st through 12th graders!

Join us on Sundays June 8, 15, & 22 and July 13, 20, & 27 in room 608 at 9:30am.

Children’s Chapel

St. Benedict’s welcomes and encourages children to take an active part in community worship. Children are always welcome to join their parents for the service; however we also offer an option. A children’s Liturgy of the Word, parallel to the adult liturgy but geared to their level, will be offered each Sunday for children Kindergarten – 10 years old. The children will then join their parents at the offertory for the Eucharist.
